The Purge Gas Generators
produce up to 85 litre/min of CO2 free gas. The generators are designed
to meet flow specification of all FT-IR's and provide more accurate
analysis by improving signal to noise ratio and cleaner backgrounds
in a shorter period of time. In addition, the generators will protect
the beam splitter from corrosion by moisture and there will be no delay
in operation while the instrument is being purged. Carbon Dioxide removal is achieved using pressure swing adsorption with an "Activated Alumina" molecular sieve. Carbon Dioxide and water vapor are trapped and vented
during the production cycle and purified gas is available on demand.
The molecular sieve regenerates during production, and does not require
regular replacement. The generators are compact, wall mountable and
easy to install, requiring only a compressed air and electrical supply. |
